Yesterday was movie marathon day for me and Mai. We watched the action-packed movie "Taken" on their Sony widescreen TV downstairs. All 5 of us (me, Mai, her mom and 2 siblings) really enjoyed it, especially because of the surround sound. We covered the windows with thick curtains so it's dark inside. It was like watching in a theater!
It reminded me of the day when my own family went out to buy our very first Sony 24-inch Color TV back in Manila. Me and my brother were jumping up and down. We were ecstatic! We can finally watch our favorite TV shows (cartoons at that time) and our parents don't have to fight because the new TV has a remote control.
On our Sony TV's first day with us, we didn't turn it off until 12 midnight. It was a weekend so me and my bro were allowed to watch TV all day. We fell asleep in front of it. We both knew it was the start of a very entertaining life for our family.
There were a lot more family bonding in front of that Sony Color TV. It was big enough for us 4 because no one needs to sit right in front of the TV just to see the picture clearly. And, we can switch channels easily so all of us can enjoy. At that time, we were sleeping in one big room so 1 TV was enough.
When we finally managed to have our own rooms built, we had to buy another TV. With our experience with our first Sony Color TV, choosing our next TV was a no-brainer. Yes, we bought another Sony 24" Color TV. The first TV was placed in our living room, the new one was in my parents' room.
Can you believe that we still have these 2 Sony Color TVs at home? Yes, our first Sony TV is still keeping my family entertained after 17 years. We moved 6 times and it never gave up on us. The second Sony Color TV has been with us for 11 years now. So, I can confidently say that Sony is not just after great entertainment for their customers but their products are also built to last.
That is the main reason why we prefer Sony over any other brand. Here in Cebu, like what I've mentioned earlier, we have a widescreen Sony TV in the living room. Me and Mai also have our own Sony CyberShot DSC-T2 digital camera. It takes great pictures and clear videos.
I took photos, with our Sony Cybershot, of me and my family on our last day in Manila, on our way to the airport. *Sigh* I miss them. Sony Cybershot gives me the power to keep my memories of my family as clear as possible.
Another personal fave Sony product we own is Mai's Sony PSP Slim. Her siblings, on the other hand, have the first version of the Sony PSP. My brother, Ken, also bought his own Sony PSP slim right before we went here to Cebu. I just love its cool features. Can't imagine how something that small can be so powerful! You can play multiplayer games wirelessly with it. Me and Mai watched videos on it during our last flight here to Cebu. You can store images, play music and even use it as another disk drive! Great, huh?
I'm also eyeing for that new Sony Noise-Canceling Notebook computer (VAIO T series). If you read my previous posts, you know that me and Mai are planning to buy our own laptop so I can continue with my online ventures and possibly, teaching online. So, the noise-canceling feature is one of the reasons why I love to get my hands on one of those. And, it'll also be a great way for me to connect with my family via online messaging and video conferencing.
Hmmm... going back to the TV, I remember, it's movie marathon day again this Sunday. Woohoo! Can't wait. We're still thinking about what movie to watch. Definitely, it should be action-filled or sci-fi so we can get the most out of our widescreen Sony TV here. Any suggestions?
Even though we have a widescreen Sony TV here at home, I still miss watching my fave TV shows on our Sony 24" Color TV back in Manila because I get to do it with my own family. It definitely gave significance in my life, just like the Sony’s World’s First Noise-Canceling Notebook Computer, which is on top of my wishlist this New Year!
Goodluck po...
