Have you watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett?!
If you haven't, don't waste your time watching it.
It's almost 3 hours of bullshit. Trust me.
There were parts that were good... but that's just about 1/100 of the movie.
I wonder why Brad and Cate accepted this movie. Well, not all good actors get good projects anyway.
We didn't like the story... it's fiction but it just doesn't make any sense.
Growing old backwards? Growing younger? Aging backwards? Whatever you want to call it. It's just nonsense. Where did all the bones and skin go? Magic? Sheesh.
I don't understand why people compared this movie to Forrest Gump. This movie is not even a millimeter close to how good Forrest Gump was. And I don't know why people gave good comments/reviews for this movie on IMDB. I don't see it. Yeah, the actors were good. But the whole story didn't make any sense.
If you've seen the movie Jack by Robin Williams, that's a better movie than this one. He ages quickly and it had more sense than this Benjamin Button story.
We continued on watching it, against our better judgment, 'coz we were really hoping that it's actually a good movie, as what Mai's cousin told her. But, really, didn't make any sense. At the end of the movie (finally), we were like... "That's it? Are you kidding me?!"
So, word of warning, please, please, don't watch this movie. Or you'll regret it, like we did.
Wow, 3 hours of bullshit. I could certainly get that for less than the price of a movie ticket. Thanks for the heads-up.
ReplyDeleteit was a little weird to see an old version of Brad Pitt's face pasted onto a kid's body, but i guess that's why they call it a "curious case"
ReplyDeleteWe didn't watch it in a cinema. We just downloaded it to find out why people are so crazy about the movie. I'm a tough critic 'coz I've seen really great movies. This one's a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteYeah, coffee. Weird... and he turned into a baby. Nice work. Better watch Jack (Robin Williams) instead if you haven't seen it.
it was brilliantly done. not a stupid story. i bet you just watch idiotic movies with no real storyline, so you're not used to something so well done.
ReplyDeleteI bet that the parts of the movie that you found were "brilliantly done" or "so well done" were the effects, cinematography and the cast. I'd agree with you. But the storyline? Nah.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the storyline was unique... uncanny even. But I'm not one to fall for that. If that's your kind of movie, then, good for you. The whole storyline should make sense for me. That's why I don't get why you said I watch idiotic movies when I didn't fall for a shallow movie like this.
Don't fall for all the hype about the movie. I loved the acting but that's about it.
Since you didn't even bother to leave your name (ashamed that I might find out something?) or URL, I bet you're one of those drooling fans of Brad Pitt... or you simply want to be him.
