As soon as I saw a tweet about this from one of the Tweeps (Twitter peeps, get it?), I immediately scoured the web for more information. This can't be true!! Eddie Murphy cannot be dead... right?
I found this article from HardCasual:
Eddie Murphy, 47, star of stand-up comedy and film, was killed this morning in an accident on the set of the film adaptation of the video game Left 4 Dead, currently filming in Los Angeles, CA.
The cause of death appears to have been a special effects mishap. Murphy, playing the role of Louis in the fast-tracked adaptation, was struck by a massive concrete slab and thrown from a helicopter in the film’s penultimate scene. Paramedics arrived on the scene immediately, but were unable to revive him, as first aid on the scene consisted entirely of large rolls of bandages....
I didn't read any other article but I know that this can't be true. So, I went back to Google and found other blog posts and articles that Eddie Murphy is NOT dead. It was just another fake celebrity death that has been circling the web for over a year now.
*Phew* I don't completely like his brand of comedy but I like most of his movies. So, I'm kinda relieved that the news wasn't true. And it's funny because that tweet came from a humor blogger who I absolutely love. How gullible can I be, you might ask. LOLz I'm not usually like this. Thank God for Google!
After clearing that Eddie Murphy is dead crap, I was curious about the Left 4 Dead movie. I checked IMDB and found 2 entries but they weren't popular movies. I love the game so watching a movie based off of it would be great. But, the ones on IMDB seem to not have been shown anywhere else but in the western countries.
I hope there'll be an official, all-star Left 4 Dead movie based on the game. I'd love to see it!
When I saw this title I had a slight feeling of dread.. Glad to read its a hoax.
