Last week, when I published a blog post about American Idol entitled "Revenge of the Lamberts", I really thought that Alex Lambert would make it to the Top 12. Imagine my disappointment upon knowing that he got the boot last week and freaking Tim Urban made it.
I now agree with most people saying that American Idol is starting to lose their magic. First, Adam Lambert not winning over Kris Allen. Second, Paula Abdul leaving the show. Third, the news of Simon Cowell leaving American Idol to focus on his new show The X Factor. And, now this - Alex Lambert, Todrick Hall and Lilly Scott not making it to the Top 12.
I believe that Vote for the Worst support for Tim Urban is what got him into the Top 12. Really. And Mai's pretty upset that now, he wants Tim to win. LOL
Here are the Top 12 on American Idol:
Lee Dewyze is now our favorite male contestant because he's really got raw talent. At first, I didn't understand why Simon loved him but after his last 2 performances, he made me believe!!
Michael Lynch's performance last week brought back my love for him. Love his voice, his song choice, and how he performs his songs. However, I still believe Todrick has a better voice than him, but Michael can bring viewers to tears. That's how heartfelt his last performance was.
Lacey was an early fave, but her last performances proved that it was a very good decision to choose Megan Joy over her last season. Megan was corky, interesting and has more personality on-stage. I would've loved to see Lilly Scott stay instead of Lacey.
Paige - what happened to her, I don't understand. I loved her voice and I really thought she's the one to beat after her first live performance. Now, watching her has become a drag.
I agree with what the judges said that Todrick's attempt to redeem himself was too late. But, still, he deserves the spot in the Top 12 over Tim Urban and Casey James. Sheesh.
If Tim Urban doesn't get eliminated this week, I'll start wishing he'll win this season. I'll even promote it on forums and other sites, I swear. LOL
