A few posts back, I talked about Divisoria, a haven for bargain shoppers like me. And when partner Mai's mom (Mama Ging), my "mother-in-law", and her sister Ann and brother Mike came here to Manila for a week vacation, we made sure shopping at Divisoria is part of our itinerary.
Since we were already going there, I was also planning on shopping for gifts for Mothers day for my Nanay and Mama Ging. However, we weren't able to buy anything because Mai and I forgot to bring extra money. *LOL* But, we managed to buy a couple of things from Divisoria.
Pardon the photos. There were a lot of people in Divisoria at that time. Most of them were in a rush to buy school supplies and uniforms/clothes so I didn't get a chance to take a lot of photos while we were there. And we only got to shop at Divisoria Mall and 168 Mall because there were too many people, it's too hard to get to anywhere else! Still, we had a lot of fun shopping.
Mama Ging managed to buy curtains and they only cost Php 250 each (about $6).
She saw the same curtains in Ayala Center, Cebu and they cost Php 400 each.
Mai and I were looking for a new wallet and we found this.
It's an imitation of a Lacoste wallet priced at Php 100.
Originally, it was priced at Php 200. *LOL*
We're glad we found this set of screwdrivers for Mai in Divisoria for only Php 70. It was originally priced at Php 100. *LOL* We didn't buy it immediately when we saw it. It was funny that the store right beside where we bought it was selling the same product for twice the price.
Good thing we didn't buy the screwdriver set we found in ACE Hardware which costs Php 400.
Mai needed a tiny star screwdriver to open up her PSP. We saved Php 330! :)
We also bought a new body bag for me. I needed something more casual.
This was originally priced at Php 480. We bought it for Php 250. Not bad, right? *LOL*
There are a lot of other things you can buy from Divisoria. Take for instance this garlic press.
We bought it for Php 80 (originally Php 100) only and it does the job as well as the ones you can buy for Php 1,500+ at Gourdo's (Wüsthof). We're coming back to buy a deep-fryer that only costs Php 1,600.
After a couple of hours shopping, we decided to head to the food court at 168 Mall in Divisoria. There are a lot of food choices, including McDonald's and Chowking. But, the reason we went there was for the huge servings of Pancit that only costs Php 70. You can buy this at any of the Chinese food stalls there.
The serving is good for 4-6 people. They even include 2 pieces of bread. We bought this from Kai Hong Eatery. You can buy drinks from them, too, and they'll include plastic cups with ice.
Mai and I are planning on going to Divisoria again by next month or July. We're coming back for the kitchenware we found that were being sold at really low prices, including the deep-fryer. Woot! Can't wait!
Have you gone to Divisoria? Share with me what you've bought from there and the deals you got. I'd love to hear 'em! :)
