If you love watching American Idol, for sure, you know what happened in the past season and the past months. First, Paula left the show. Then, Simon announced last season that he'll be leaving, too, because of a new show. Next, Ellen announced she's leaving American Idol, too, after only 1 season of judging. Finally, Kara Dioguardi was also rumored to be leaving the show. Now, who are the new judges of American Idol (the title of this post gave it away already lolz)?
They had a "Meet the Judges" press conference to announce who the new judges are. Here, watch the stream:
Yes, it's official! Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Jennifer Lopez are the new judges of American Idol! Woohoo!
Okay, first off, I'm not happy that Simon Cowell left American Idol. But, I'm pretty happy with the replacements. I'm guessing that Ellen and Kara left the show because Nigel Lythgoe is coming back as producer of American Idol. He wanted to remove Kara and Ellen, so, I guess he got his way... again, you control freak, you, Nigel! LOLz.
I'm pretty excited to see how the next season of American Idol will go with rock superstar Steven Tyler and diva Jennifer Lopez joining the judging panel. I love how J-Lo mentored the Idol contestants before, so, I really hope she won't be too nice. And, I also love Steven. They're both good performers, and, so I'm pretty happy with this news.
