Since last year, I've started complaining about my right wrist hurting whenever I'm in front of the computer, navigating from one website to another or designing anything in Photoshop. So, in September, I decided to buy me a new mouse.
I've read stories from people who complain of the same wrist issues. Most of them said that a trackball mouse saved the day. And, so, my bro and I scoured Greenhills for this Logitech Trackball mouse I've been wanting to have for months since I experienced the wrist pains.
It's quite expensive. I bought mine for Php 2,200. I wanted to check out Logitech's concept store in SM Megamall, but I just didn't have the time. We were buying something else in Greenhills so we ended up shopping for my new mouse, too.
I know what you’re thinking. The price is such a premium to pay for something like a computer mouse. But, seriously, I can tell you that this saved my wrist. I still experience a li’l pain ‘cause of all the work and fun I do on my computer, but it’s lessened by a mile! Now, whenever I use a regular mouse, it gets tiring and painful quite easily.
It takes a lot of getting used to, especially when you’re used to moving the mouse around. This one just stands there and you only use that red ball to scroll and navigate your cursor. I so got wont to it that I can even design using this mouse.
Fast forward 9 months, it's already broken. It continues to double-click even when I only clicked once, a common problem with optical mouse these days.
No, it's not because the mouse was not sturdy. I just happen to have dropped it like more than 10 times since I got it. *LOL* I haven't been a very responsible owner.
I know, I should've taken care of this baby better than I did considering its price tag. It's the most expensive accessory I got, aside from my speakers for computer that I use in my room. It's an Altec Lansing set that produces really awesome sound, so I can't really complain about the price either. ^_^
Okay, this isn't really a review of this mouse (nor the speakers) since I'll be writing about it on my geek blog. This post is actually dedicated to an "angel" who gave me a replacement mouse of the EXACT same model WITHOUT asking for return.
Let's call him Mickey (I got the idea from another friend), my mouse angel. *LOL*
He said he bought it from months back. He thought he could get used to the feel of scrolling that trackball to navigate on his computer. He gave up and kept this mouse all safe and dusty *LOL*
When he read me complaining about my mouse being broken and that I'm using a regular mouse again 'cause I just can't finish anything anymore, he asked for my mailing address and sent me this baby.
For the record, no, he's not courting me or he's not even someone special. But, he's a friend. Though we haven't met yet in person, he's been one of the funniest people I've met online.
To you, Mickey, THANK YOU SO MUCH! You don't know how much I appreciate you giving me a replacement mouse.
If you want me to mention who you are, just let me know and I'll reveal your identity. LOL
Again, thank you and continue on with those nasty remarks on Facebook. LOL *hugs* Hope to enjoy a cup of coffee or two with you soon! :)
Update: My mouse angel said I can reveal who he is. So…
THANK YOU RESTY!!
If you’re a friend on Facebook and have checked my wall, you would’ve probably seen him posting comments on my status messages. Super kulet! Hahaha ^_^
