Too Late for Christmas Shopping?

It’s almost Christmas and I haven’t done any of my gift shopping yet. We were supposed to go to Divisoria, but because of unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our planned Divi shopping this week. Next week, I don’t think I’d have time to go there too because my dad might be scheduled for eye surgery already and he’ll need our utmost care and attention.

This is why I’m now resorting to online shopping. Well, I haven’t really bought anything yet for my loved ones ‘cause I’ve sort of purchased some things for myself first. Hahaha. I know, I know. But, hey, I’ve bought a ton of stuff for Ken for his cooking and baking needs from Chocolate Lover. I already know what my nanay wants – the same makeup palette I got from Props Cosmetics & Tools (photo below) and a couple of lippies. Yeah, we now share the love for makeup. :)

 I can’t wait to come up with various looks using this palette. Lotsa colors! ^_^

For my dad, not sure yet what to buy for him. He usually loves receiving caps or hats to add to his collection (oh boy, he’s got tons!).

Now, for my closest friends, I’m thinking of buying vouchers for them from different restaurants and group-buying sites. I know they’ll definitely enjoy that, but of course, I’ve got to make sure the location of the resto will be accessible to them too. I’m just waiting for deals that I know they’d enjoy and will be all worth it.

Times like this, I miss having a corporate job. No, not because I don’t have enough money to buy my loved ones gifts. I’ve known them long enough to realize they don’t really need anything expensive like gold chains or jewelry, signature clothing, or gadgets. I know the thought alone will make them smile. :) But, of course, let’s be honest, a new camera or a white gold hoop pair of earrings won’t hurt. *LOL* Okay, that’s just 2 things on my wish list. ^_^

I miss waiting for my 13th month pay and giving almost all of it to my mom. I miss Christmas shopping with colleagues or the exchange gift activities. Now, since I work online and at home with my own business, it usually is harder to get together with my friends because they’re all at work before, during and after the holidays. But, I’m hoping we’d all find time to celebrate the holidays together before 2012. Let’s see. :)

I’m off to shopping with my bro today. We MIGHT start up a holiday short-term business here at home and so we’d need to prepare for it. Wish us luck! :)
