Back in my younger years, I considered myself as someone who had fashion sense. I usually would drag my mother to shop with me for new clothes, accessories and shoes. I loved mixing and matching them to fit my mood or the party or event I’m attending.
I never really was into buying anything expensive so I don’t own any signature clothing or any item that’s worth more than Php 1,500. My nanay and I would frequent Divisoria for additions to our wardrobe, something I really enjoyed doing with her.
But, lately, I see myself sticking with simpler looks. Not that I’ve lost my fashion sense, but now, I go for what’s comfortable. I know, I know, there are fashionable things I could add to my look that are still as comfy as I wanted, but you’d usually just see me looking like this:
I love hoop earrings. They’re the only accessory I truly love wearing ‘cause they don’t always get in the way. *LOL*
Here’s my favorite collection of earrings. None of them cost more than Php 200. I’ve got a few more hoop earrings, mostly smaller, which I usually end up wearing when I go out.
I also sometimes go out with some extra accessory on me, like this:
That’s about it. *LOL* In fact, I only have 2 necklaces in my accessories box:
I also have a couple of bracelets in there that I wear like once in a blue moon. I’m not really comfortable wearing them ‘cause I usually keep forgetting I’m wearing bracelets. In fact, my mother stopped buying them for me ‘cause I already damaged like 3 bracelets she gave me before as gifts. Even my ex-partners/lovers know how clumsy I get so they know better not to buy me bracelets as gifts. *LoL*
But, I’m planning on adding more flair to my wardrobe and accessories collection so my nanay and I might go out shopping very soon. In fact, I fell in love with this oversized ring I bought when a couple of my blogger friends and I were at Tiendesitas.
The other ring’s the only one I always wear. It’s a gift from my mother back in elementary. It adjusted itself over the past 19 years to still fit my ring finger now.
Going back to that oversized ring, I super love it. I know, it’s a simple ring with a paisley-like pattern design, but I loved it just the same. I had second thoughts before of buying anything like it ‘cause, like what I mentioned earlier, I don’t like wearing anything that I feel will just get in the way. Since I started wearing that ring, I wanted to shop for more, maybe some with more colors. ^_^
My bro Kenneth is the more fashionable sibling now. No, he doesn’t wear any masonic jewelry. It’s just not his style. If you know him, you’d know what I mean. Nowadays, you’d usually see him sporting dark-rimmed glasses like the one on the photo below:
I also got into those rimmed glasses. In fact, when I had new prescription glasses made, I got this pair:
Yeah, that’s how I usually look like at home. Nerdy and all. *LOL*
I also LOVE bags. And I share that with my nanay. Well, literally, we share bags. Hahahaha. That’s why whenever we’re at Divisoria or at the mall, you’d usually see us hanging out at stores with this display:
I recently bought my nanay a bag at Landmark. Sorry, I don’t have a photo ‘cause it’s with her now. It’s huge and I love that it’s got lots of compartments. As soon as we got home, I checked it out and had regrets about choosing it for her. I ended up wanting it for myself. *LOL* But, we always compromise around here so again, we share. ^_^
