I’ve been a big fan of Yeng Constantino ever since the first time I listened to her sing in Pinoy Dream Academy. I remember constantly singing Hawak Kamay for weeks! No wonder she won as the first Grand Star Dreamer – she’s not only an amazing singer, but also a talented composer.

I haven’t watched her perform live yet ‘cause I had too much going on the past years. But, this year, when I learned about her upcoming concert, I couldn’t help but get excited.

On August 5, 2011, Friday, at 8pm in Aliw Theater, catch RakenRol Jamming with Yeng Constantino and enjoy a night of OPM rock music only Yeng and her special guests Raimund Marasigan of Sandwich and Gloc-9 can deliver.

If you’re not yet a fan of Yeng Constantino, I don’t know where you’ve been the past 3 years. She’s received countless awards. In the recently concluded MYX Music Awards 2011, she received FIVE (5) awards, namely:

• MYX Music Awards 2011: "Favorite Female Artist"
• MYX Music Awards 2011: "Favorite Music Video" for Jeepney Love Story
• MYX Music Awards 2011: "Favortie Song" for Jeepney Love Story
• MYX Music Awards 2011: "Favorite MYX Celebrity VJ"
• MYX Music Awards 2011: "Favorite Collaboration" for Kung Wala Ka Na with 6 Cycle Mind and Kean Cipriano

And aside from being a singer and songwriter, she also directed Jaime Rivera’s latest music video for her song “Letting Go”, now a hit on MYX. A very talented young lady indeed. Love Yeng talaga! :)

Oh, by the way, Star Records will be releasing a DVD compilation of Yeng’s live versions of OPM hits in the 70s up to the 90s. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one, entitled Yeng Versions Live. I know they’d be as awesome as her previous albums Salamat, Journey and Lapit.
