We all have this person or people who make our lives easier or hassle-free because of all their hard work or support for whatever you’re trying to accomplish or even with the simple things like getting by everyday with the chores, etc. They can be the people you hire to work for you or just your friends who back you up when you need it.
My assistant…
Ever since I hired him during the first quarter of 2011, my computer shop earnings have improved. I know, his salary is an added expense, but considering the convenience of not waking up early everyday to man the shop, and the fact that I can now focus on taking on other jobs and opportunities online and offline makes me so thankful he’s around.
Our helper…
So far, she’s the most thoughtful and hardworking of all the house help we’ve hired for the past 3 decades of my life. That’s why I can’t help but reward her for her hard work. She was even here during typhoon Pedring and she helped us a ton during the cleanup. She can really be counted on and I hope and pray I’ll be given a chance to help her financially when she needs it.
My nanay…
Of course, my nanay is the #1 person who I can count on. She’s always had my back, even during those times she didn’t agree on my decisions or what I wanted to do with my life. I’m so glad she became a friend to us. I guess that’s bound to happen to parents, especially when their kids are adults, like me and Ken.
My brother…
He learned to handle my mood swings, though I’m still learning to adjust to his. *LOL* He also is the first person I ask for advice, whether it’s about a minor issue like my design concepts, or a major decision in my life.
My friends…
I don’t want to name them all ‘cause I know I’m bound to miss one or two. But, they’ve been a huge help. I may look like I got it all figured out, but my friends and the rest of my support system (my family) have been a big part of why I can handle all the stress and problems I’ve encountered the past year.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You see, we are never alone. We may say we can handle everything on our own, but the truth is, there’s always that someone you lean on or turn to when you need some encouragement or even when you just need to smile or laugh a little. :)
