Yes, this is my 2nd Heroes of Newerth Beta Key Giveaway. I received some beta keys from those who got one from me and some of my friends who also are playing. S2 Games just gave out 200,000 invites to current beta testers so if you know someone who already has an account, you can simply ask them to send you an invite/beta key. How to find where on the HoN site you can send invites? Scroll down to the bottom of this post with my instructions.

2) Once you're logged in, click on the Invites button on the upper right side of the page.
3) On the Invites page, just enter your friend's email address or your email so you can get the beta key through that email. I suggest you use a Gmail account so you can get it right away.

I was in the library with my friends and I was watching this Starcraft2 Gameplay Video, and just when they were demonstrating the Time Bomb of the Protoss (basta, its something awesome) they were playing videos from the HON website and I saw the Tempest's Elemental Void and I was like, "OH SHIT THE GRAPHICS ON BOTH OF 'EM ARE SO AWESOME"
So I got hooked. :))

First off, I'm from the Philippines. :D (Does that mean I have a better chance of getting one of the 30 beta keys?)
Well, I've been refreshing your blog's main page for about four days already. That's how desperate I am for a beta key. I even checked the source code of your other posts! :O Okay, I look like someone who is really desperate. But then, it wont hurt to try right?
I saw HoN's actual gameplay only a few days ago, after one of our barkada's (frequent)weekend overnight DotA sessions.
We were about to leave the shop when we saw this kuya playing a complicated looking rpg game, I even thought it was a card game, which happened to be HoN's hero selection screen.
Then the game started. We saw some weird buildings here and there, then a group of units started spawning out of nowhere, and guess what, they looked like a DotA creep wave, melee creeps, and one ranged creep.
One of us commented, "striking resemblance!"
Then this kuya, who was playing as a puppet master, started creep-blocking the wave.
Another one commented, "wow, parang dota ah!"
It was when kuya killed one of the opposing creepwave's, well, creep, that we freaked out even more. A yellow "+43" appeared right after it died.
And we said "striking resemblance" once more, but now with more exclamation.
All throughout this kuya's game, we started recognizing the similiraties this game had with DotA (along with the abuse of the word "striking resemblance".)
The kind person he was (or maybe he just got annoyed), kuya started to enlighten us about the game. That's how we found out about, and liked, HoN.
And we became more and more interested at the game this kuya was playing. The more we identified the DotA counterparts of the heroes (Slardar became a cockroach), skills, and items we saw, the more we became interested. Then we found out that its in closed beta, which required the elusive beta key.
Seeing the heroes in-game and in their official website, I'd like to play with Magmus, not because he's SK's counterpart, but because his name sounds much like a cheap Magnataur ripoff. o_o
Well, there. Yeah. A long story. :)) Thanks a lot for sharing your beta keys. Looking forward to playing with you and other people. :D

Fast pace, lots of action, and an awesome game concept. ReplyDeleteI'm Mr. Black, a super agent for the LBK(Lack of Beta Key). It is a super secret agency for the United States of America(I also happen to reside there). Our goal is to search out beta keys for games that we feel are going to be great. As I'm sure you guessed, my current assignment is to assassinate the...ahh, just kidding...it is to gain the key for HoN(Heroes of Newerth). Let me list a few reasons why we crave such a game:
1. It uses DotA's great gameplay!
2. It has SWEET graphics!
3. It tracks players who leave. (no more annoying n00...woops, excuse me...players leaving in the middle of a game)
3. The addition of new heroes.
4. The game contains hidden information that is essential to assassinate...never mind that one
What hero would I like play? Bah, good question! I would like to play the ALL! Hopefully, each one at least once. I can't really choose my favorite until I've got my key but there are a few that interesting. These include: Glacius, Magmus, Nymphora, and Ophelia. I think they look fun to play and will help lead my team to VICTORY!
I had searched endlessly for a key when I suddenly stumbled upon your blog. Amazed, I decided it was worth a shot to write my story down. Hope I didn't bore you too much while I pray for my key!

I've been playing DotA for five or so years now, and I only just heard about HoN o_O! The ability to reconnect as well as stat tracking sounds awesome! The graphics look great, and I like that they've kept it very similar to DotA because it's a formula that works. I'm not very interested in League of Legends at all.
I'm tempted to try out Arachna because of her web shot (I'm a massive fan of Drow and ice arrow orb walking). I'll be giving MageBane a go, since I've always been found of AM's blink. However, the Moon Queen will be my first pick, and I will call her Luna the entire game regardless of what other players refer to her as >_>

Sobrang Fan talaga ako ng dota 1st year college pa lang naglalaro na ako ng kahit nga malaro ko tong Hon maglalaro pa din ako ng dota kasama mga kaibigan at mga pinsan ko at nirerecreate ng HoN ang gameplay ng Dota na dinagdagan pa ang level ng involvement dahil sa visuals at bagong content na ginawa ng mga developers.

Pero eto talaga ang pinaka the best sa HoN, ang reconnection sa laro at ang voice chat, problema ko kasi sa bahay nawawala yung connection pag may tumatawag kaya quitters daw =(, Pero kung sakaling maglalaro ako mawawala na yun =). Pangalawa pwede nang magyabang at mag set up ng better team work sa boses na lang,

what can i say i love dota and been really excited about hon since the first couple of trailers yah no. fair enough me being excited isnt enough reason for you to give me a beta key but i have been doing a fair bit of struggling to find a key.
i dont wanna sound patheic and such and recieve pity but if it is possible could you please send me a beta key for HoN. when it comes to heros id most likely choose pebbles. Lol reason being his place is exactly the same as tiny. it truly is a heavily modded of dota but what an accomplishment.
pebbles is well best way to describe it, would be a keep sake of iceFrog and a warm memory for anyone who plays HoN. why cause they will alwasy think of dota when they see it.

B. Because i've played DOTA for a very long time and I love the game. Ever since i saw that HON was coming out i think i've seriously lost a lot of sleep trying to hunt down a key to no avail. Some call it obsession but i call it passion :D.

C. I'm looking to play the Zephyr. Why? I think he has some very interesting skills to be utilized and hes a completely new character that i would love to try and master. Plus Owls are freakin' Awesome :)

why do i want to play hon? i'm a dota addict eversince it started out ive been playin this game like for more than 8yrs now. i can even tell you the heroes/skills from back then. this game would really rock my world. great graphz, cool game system (especially the "no leaver system", dontya just hate leavers.^_^) and i saw the summoner upgrade thingy.. really lookin forward to playin this one..

I bought WC3 just because a Friend told me of the MOD called DotA. Since that day i play DotA almost every day. But i must say, after all these Years, DotA gets a little bit boring and i think HON will change that.

Why do i want to play Hon... Hmm... I already heard on some of my friend that there is a game called HoN, so similar to DOTA, i wasn't aware of it since i am an avid fan of DOTA but when i first saw the video on youtube, i almost likely felt i am struck by lightning.. WOW!!! cool graphics, stunning animation (especially skills), and kick ass heroes!! Now, why do i want to play HoN its because of the awesome gameplay (i think, i cant tell more because i haven't played it yet personally)it could give to a player especially to those who are addicted on DOTA and i think it could give more advance features than DOTA itself.
