Anyway, talking about the road trip. My family here in Cebu (Mai's) decided to visit Joy (the second to the eldest daughter) and their new home. It was really a road trip. Mai and Mama weren't familiar with the area and only followed Joy's instructions on how to get there. Hehehe.
But, before we went out, I took some more photos of Puppia (our pet dog here) and her li'l puppies. She gave birth on Saturday to 3 puppies. Well, technically, she gave birth to 5 puppies. However, only 3 managed to survive. Puppia's a small dog and I'm not even sure what breed she belongs so that could've affected the chances of all her puppies to survive the birth and all.
Here they are. The pup with a solo photo was the most popular among us. All he did was sleep. He's the youngest. I wanna call him "Snoozy" but we haven't really finalized what names we'd give these 3. Snoozy... it has some kind of ring to it, right?
Alright, going back to the road trip, when we got to Joy and her husband's (Gian) home, we were all in awe at how gorgeous their roof is. Okay, their home is not yet completed. Still under construction but you can already tell it's gonna be beautiful. Here are some photos we took at their place. Mai and I was supposed to get a shot of us together, like it's OUR home, but the wind was blowing too hard at us we can't keep a decent smile on. That would be nice... me and Mai in our own home. (Even after all the drama that transpired, I still want to keep happy thoughts in my head.)
The only decent photos of anyone of us that I got was Ann's with Gillian, Joy and Gian's unica hija, and Mama with Ann (again) and Gillian. Gillian's always ready to smile for a photo, can't you tell?
While the house is under construction, they decided to put up temporary rooms for them to sleep in. They don't want to waste any more of their time and energy driving back and forth to check on the construction. But, since they already spent a significant amount in putting up these temporary rooms, they decided to keep them for their guests.
Also, they have a huge dirty kitchen area, a urinal, and 2 bathrooms for men and women. Their place is starting to look like a resort to me. Hehehe. But, I think it's pretty cool to have that in your own home. It's like their home is as welcoming as the family that lives there. There's a beach very close to their home so we'll definitely have a swim there sometime soon.
Anyway, we stayed 'til almost 6pm and then we headed to ParkMall for some grocery shopping. Traffic was heavy but we managed to arrive home at around 8pm. That's what I love about Cebu. Even if the traffic's heavy, you only spend about 10-30 minutes stuck in traffic. And you can get anywhere in 10 minutes to an hour. So, even when we're out all day, I don't get tired that much. In Manila, wherever you go, traffic's too congested. It takes me 2-3 hours to commute from Cubao to our home. Imagine that.
We were all worried about how Puppia and her pups are doing. So, that was the first thing we checked. And, of course, more photos!
Mai and Mike were too cautious about holding the pups. It was pretty funny, like they were human babies that might break their necks if we hold them the wrong way. Hehehe.
Why all these photos? Well, I've decided to keep memories of all our trips as much as I can. Plus, I also enjoy posting them on Facebook. So, expect more photos on here.
By the way, I've been sick since Sunday. Got this probably when we tried to "save" the puppies from the heavy rain last Saturday. Virus worsened when I stayed out when we were at Joy's place. The sun was out and warm. I enjoyed the warm, fresh air too much, I guess. Hehehe. I hate getting colds the most 'coz I can barely taste anything I eat. Argh. But good thing my taste buds were working when Mai woke me up earlier to a "surprise" breakfast. Thanks, hun!
the puppies look really cute.. we had a similar dog once.. maybe they're of the same breed.. a Japanese Spitz.. too bad the other puppies didn't make it.. =(
ReplyDeleteSuch cute puppies!! Snoozy is a cute name. :)
ReplyDelete@Siege: Thanks for mentioning that. I looked at photos of Spitz dogs and found that ours, Puppia, does resemble a Japanese Spitz. However, I looked at other Spitz dogs and I think she looks more like an American Eskimo. The father of the puppies is definitely a Japanese Spitz.
