Like in other countries, Christmas here in the Philippines is considered a time for families to get together, but most importantly, it's a holiday that I believe most children enjoy. Why? Mostly because of the gifts they get every Christmas.
An actual dilemma for me every Christmas is shopping for gifts for my godchildren (inaanak), nephews and nieces. Children nowadays have different needs and interests compared to kids in my time when a simple doll or stuffed toy would mean a lot. I guess it's because children today grow faster and I don't just mean physically but also emotionally and mentally as well.
Unfortunately for me, this past Christmas, I wasn't able to shop for decent gifts to give away. And I ended up simply giving my godkids money instead. It's one of the Christmas traditions here in the Philippines. Godparents usually give their godchildren money as gifts. I am not really in favor of that so I only give money to my grown-up godkids. I was a lousy godmother last Christmas, I know. I just didn't have enough time to shop for gifts because of my busy schedule. I wasn't even able to buy gifts for my parents, my partner and my brother.
Actually, one of the reasons why I didn't have time to shop was because I think too much when it comes to gift ideas. I always want to make sure the recipients would love my gifts. And, now, I realize, I'm giving gifts to KIDS. They'd be happy with anything... really. But, I still prefer to buy educational toys for them, my godkids in particular, because I believe that the younger they start learning, the smarter they get when they grow up. My brother and I are living proofs of that.

ShopWiki makes it easier for you to find the best deals when looking for a particular product. You won't have to scour the web to do it yourself.
Navigating their site is a breeze. When you visit their main page, you'd see categories you can choose from. You can even use the search function on their site to easily find what you're looking for.
Since I was looking for gifts for kids, I checked their list of Educational Supplies for kids. I've been thinking about giving computers designed for young kids to my godchildren because most of them are at the age of 2-5 years. It's a very good time for them to start learning how to use computers and to learn things like how to read and spell through the Learning laptop.
I still have time to save up for these educational toys for my godkids, nephews and nieces. I'll make sure that this year's Christmas, they'll receive gifts from me that they will never forget.
