I know that you've all heard about what happened in Haiti. They experienced a 7.0 earthquake which was then followed by 33 aftershocks, 14 of which was at the magnitudes of 5.0 and 5.9. Read more details about this earthquake in Haiti at this Wikipedia page.
If you are planning on sending help or donations, you can send them directly to the American Red Cross. Check out the list of ways you can donate on the official Red Cross website. You can donate online, by phone, text message (text HAITI to 90999 but check here first if your carrier supports this), wire transfer, etc.
If you're going to donate online through the Red Cross site, you'd be directed to a list of Red Cross relief programs. Simply select "Haiti Relief and Development". Take note, though, that they only accept donations through credit card or Amazon Payments.
Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti, is gathering support through Twitter and his website - Yele Haiti. You can send in $5 or $10 donations through SMS. Check his website for more details.

I really hope that all the donations that are being sent for Haiti would directly help Haitians affected by this tragedy. I hate reading about people who are using this situation to make money by scamming people or government officials pocketing donations for their own selfish and evil needs. I can't believe people can be scammers and corrupt at a time like this. Sheesh.
I'm praying for everyone affected by this tragedy at Haiti. I hope this won't hinder them from moving on and living their lives for the better. May God bless them all.
