Are you a Hacker or a Spy-Wannabe?

image One of our priorities here at our internet cafe is to ensure that our customers and what they do on our computers remain unknown to anyone. That's also one of our concerns as customers before in internet cafes. I always make sure there's no keylogger running in the background while I enter my passwords to my email account or my online game accounts.

Hacking has been rampant all over the web for the past years. I was even a victim of it back then. Someone was trying to get the password to an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel that I own and they thought that hacking my email account was the way to do it. I knew how they got my password. I was still unaware that someone would actually do that to me so my secret questions on my email accounts were too easy back then. Now, I ensure I'm the only one who knows the answer. Even my partner Mai don't know it.

I've read and listened to horror stories from friends who told me that they had girlfriends/boyfriends who tried using spying tools to find out what they do online. I once tried it on Mai, but it wasn't really hacking 'coz I actually know what passwords she usually uses. Okay, that's considered hacking. But, I didn't trust her back then so I had to do it. LOL. I confessed to her, anyway, and we just laughed at it. LOL.

I have friends who are hackers and they even messed up an online game server back when the company first started. It was pretty funny that one of the Game Masters banned my account and they agreed to lift it if we tell them how we did a certain trade bug in-game. Well, they did lift my ban, but I didn't want to use it anymore so I gave it away. Now, it's a 99 High Priestess. I'm guessing now you know what game I'm referring to.

image I've loved spy movies like Mission Impossible. I loved all those nifty gadgets that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) used to get out of certain situations and to find out who's behind certain conspiracies that he unfolded. I've wanted to own spy gadgets like maybe a wristwatch voice recorder. I've always wanted to try that old trick in the spy movies I've watched where they secretly record a conversation to use it to blackmail someone later. That I'll find useful so I can record anything Mai said that I know she'll deny later. LOL.

How about you? Have you ever spied or tried to "hack" into someone's personal stuff like emails, Facebook accounts, etc? I'd love to hear your stories! LOL
