If you've been following my blog, then, you already know that Mai and I are managing our own business - an internet cafe. I love the fact that we have control over our time, unlike back then when we were still employed by a company, especially now that our internet cafe is just outside our home.
We open at 11:00 in the morning and we usually wake up at around 10:45am. I take a bath first while Mai goes straight to the cafe. I'll switch with her afterwards so she can take a bath, too. Yeah, she opens the cafe without a bath, not even a quick toothbrush. I mean, we don't smell anyway so it's all fine. LOL. Don't tell her I told you. Hahaha.
We usually sit the whole time our internet cafe's open. But, we try our best to stand up and walk for a bit just to awaken our senses. We also stand up to assist customers. However, there's not much space here at our cafe so we usually just instruct the customers how to turn on the computers they want to use.
Back when our internet cafe was in Cebu, I had problems with my back. I easily get tired because of sitting in front of the computer the whole day. Mai's parents decided to buy me an office chair (something close to the image shown on the right) so I can sit back and relax while we're at the cafe. It really helped, 'til I broke it 'coz I got too relaxed. LOL
Now that we're here in Manila, that chair in Cebu is now being used at home as a computer chair. I'm not really having any issues with my back now, but I already suggested to Mai that we visit an office furniture store when we go shopping 2 weeks from now so I can window-shop for a new computer/office chair for me. Not sure, though, if we can find one that would fit my li'l space here at our cafe. I'm eyeing for a high-back chair like the one pictured on the right.
