We were able to watch the Academy Awards just last night. I know, we're a few days late, but we had a lot on our to-watch list and we were kinda expecting who the winners would be. Mai and I were quite surprised with some of the winners, but most of them were the ones we expected.
I love watching awards show like the Oscar's, Grammy's and Golden Globes, particularly the red carpet interviews. I also love seeing the fashion statements of the most popular celebrities in Hollywood - the women in their designer gowns and dresses, the men in their tuxedos.
I particularly loved this velvet Marchesa gown worn by Sandra Bullock, who won Best Actress in a Leading Role that night. It was expected because we just loved her movie The Blind Side. Mai absolutely loves her! And she just looked stunning!
Anyway, regarding the winners, I was pretty shocked with who won Best Picture. I really thought Avatar's got it in the bag. Now, I really need to watch The Hurt Locker.
I love Sandra's winning moment too! plus her dress and her make-up fabulous! Anyway, I think Avatar is a bit overrated and that Hurtlocker winning is truly amazing! :)
ReplyDeletei haven't watched Hurtlocker yet so I can't really agree or disagree with you. I guess the ones who came up with the decision to hand the best picture award to Hurtlocker preferred heavy drama movies over drama-fantasy flicks like Avatar.
ReplyDeleteI was more a fan of J'Lo and the dress that she wore. But I find her to be more attractive over all, I'm a little biased.
ReplyDeleteI also love J Lo's taste when it comes to fashion, but I didn't like that fluffy thing on the gown she wore at the Oscar's. She still looked stunning, though.
