Update on our House Renovation + Photos of our Garden

I've posted before about our home's renovation and reconstruction. Now, I want to share with you how everything's progressing.

The reconstruction of our ceiling is still pending. My nanay decided to take care of minor renovations first of our home 'til we can already afford to reconstruct the ceiling. For now, this is how our ceiling looks like:

Because there's no ceiling, whenever it's warm outside, you can really feel the heat inside so you can't stay at the living room to watch TV. Same thing when it rains. The noise of the heavy rain pouring down our roof's too loud that we can't hear anything coming out of our TV, even when we turn on the speakers. But, we're still lucky and blessed because we have a roof to protect us, right? So, we're not really complaining.

Our gate has been replaced. That was our priority because this is how our front gate looked before:

We were so concerned about the security of our home so my nanay made sure we buy us a new gate before anything else. Someone actually stole her Japanese bike, which was parked near the front gate. Our dogs didn't bark during the whole incident so we know it was someone they're familiar with. We just don't know who, since we're guessing the thief already repainted it or sold it to someone else. We also couldn't close the gate properly because of all that rust.

Now, we feel more secure with our new front gate:

I love the mailbox! Hahahaha. We always forget that we already have a mailbox so the mail we receive and bills will usually pile up inside that small box. *LOL*

We also had our rain gutter fixed last week. We're still observing now if it was completely repaired or not. So far, we're no longer experiencing rain coming into our home. We just hope it'll hold if ever we encounter heavy rains or storms again. We just hope we won't have to know. We don't need another Ondoy or Basyang, right?

My mom also had our backyard renovated. Since our extra bathroom/comfort room is now used at our internet cafe, she wanted to reconstruct the old bathroom located at our backyard. It served as our storage area so we'll need to move everything there somewhere else. Not sure where, though. *LOL*

My mom was planning on putting up a dirty kitchen at our backyard for parties, reunions, etc. However, because of our financial limitations, we had to scratch that. We can't afford to renovate the backyard into a dirty kitchen. Even cancelling our plans to put up a large kitchen sink (like one of those stainless steel Kohler kitchen sinks) or using tiles to form the floor and walls, we still don't have enough money to do it. So, my mom changed her mind and wanted to have a bigger garden right there instead. I actually loved the outcome, but, it's not yet completely done. She's got some new plants out there, by the way, and is still planning on adding some more.

Here are some photos I took of our backyard:

New flower at our garden - JustAnotherPixel.net I don't know what flower this is. *LOL*

What's the name of this plant? - JustAnotherPixel.net Do you know what this plant is?
According to Chinchin and Joanna, this is called San Franisco. Cool!

A variation of the white flower - JustAnotherPixel.net The pink version of the white flower earlier. I still don't know its name.

Blooming Gumamela flower - JustAnotherPixel.net I luckily found this blooming Gumamela flower... which turns out to be a Squash flower. *LOL*
Thanks to Zh3en22 and Levy! Heheheh.

Another pretty flower I found at our new garden - JustAnotherPixel.net I love this flower I found out there. Again, I don't know its name.

If you know the name of any of the flowers
and plants I featured here, please, let me know.

I'm labeling their photos on my laptop so I'll be familiar with
their names next time my mom asks me. *LOL*
