I Won an Apple iPad from Sulit!

Yes, you read it right! I won a 16GB Apple iPad from Sulit!

Words aren't enough to describe how I felt when I saw that my entry won FIRST PRIZE! Woohoo! Actually, let me try to describe my reaction. My heart LITERALLY skipped a beat when I saw my name as the first prize winner. I thought that I would at least bag the second or third prize, so I immediately checked the names for the second and third place. I was like, "Oh no, I didn't make it?!". I was third when the voting ended.

Imagine my surprise when I saw that I was actually the first place winner! My brother and I literally yelled out, surprising a couple of our customers here at our internet cafe. Hahaha. We couldn't help it! This was my third major win! The first 2, I won Nokia 5230 cellphones. Yes, 2 of them! One, I'm currently using. The other, we sold for cash. Anyway, I'm writing this post to SINCERELY thank EVERYONE who helped me along the way – my viral posters, those who voted for me (most are shocked that I placed third after days of leading in the voting LOLz), my campaign managers, everyone! Here's my "acceptance/thanksgiving speech":

First off, thank you, Sulit.com.ph, for this blog writing contest.
Happy anniversary to your site and keep up the good job, all of you!

I was the first entrant. I got really excited when I found out that the next contest would involve blogging. I'm now officially addicted to Sulit. I used to just browse through ads and lurk in the forums. But, now, checking Sulit is part of my routine. Really.

Thank you, admin Heide (hscanlas), for all your hard work, responding to our inquiries.

Second, I would like to thank ALL of my VIRAL POSTERS, my blogger friends.

If it wasn't for you, guys, I might not have made it to the top. Seriously! I wanted REAL bloggers to viral post for me so I guess that's where I beat the others. Thank you so much!

As I've promised, your banners will remain on my sidebar for a month. And, I'll be raffling off TWO (2) PhP 200 prepaid load amongst y'all. I will also raffle off TWO (2) Php 100 prepaid load to the comment posters on my last post about this contest. I'll use Random.org for that, so keep posted. I'll share a video of the drawing.

Thank you to my official campaign managers:
my brother Kien and my newfound friend Grace.

As soon as I found out I made it to the top 10, I asked my brother to campaign for me. I told him the prizes and he was pretty excited to do it. He spent hours patiently (really?! LOL) teaching his friends on Facebook on how to vote for my entry. He begged and forced his friends to vote for me. Some of them even thought he was trying to scam them for some reason. Hahaha. Thank you so much, kapatid! For that, you deserve 10 minutes with my new iPad. Hahaha. Kiddin'!

To my newfound friend and fellow Sulitizen, sis Grace of Digital Retouching, for being my official campaign manager in Sulit. She is a wonderful designer. I love how she plays with colors and animations on her banners. She designed banners for me. Yes, I said BANNERS 'cause she designed more than six banners for me. Here are some of them:

She designed all these for me for FREE. That's how much she supported me and my entry. And, she diligently encouraged people to vote for definition #1. I was really touched by her support. :)

I'm glad I met Grace during the voting period. There was a day that I wanted to stop campaigning, but, she helped, unknowingly (this is the first time she'll hear about this), cheer me up. I was feeling a bit disappointed 'cause I don't know a lot of Sulit members and there were a couple of people bashing my entry. I hate negative campaigning, really. Grace, along with my other new friends from Sulit, made this all enjoyable and the waiting bearable.

Thank you so much for everything, sis Grace! Count on me to help you with anything. Wag lang financial. Hahaha. *mwuahugs* I'm looking forward to meeting you when you return here to the PH.

Fourth, thank you to my new friends over at Sulit:
santelmo, wggozar, moshpit and McLoanPro.

Santelmo and McLoanPro were part of the top 10, too. They all kept the voting thread in Sulit's forum alive. I loved the discussions started by wggozar regarding grammar and sentence construction. He got my nose bleeding. Imagine that! LOLz. I enjoyed the witty remarks of santelmo and moshpit. I loved the positive attitude of McLoanPro (congratulations, too, sis!).

This isn't goodbye (naks!). I know santelmo can come up with something. LOLz. Hope to meet y'all in the future! :)

I thank my friends who are in Facebook and Plurk.

Thank you for being patient with me, especially when I "spammed" you with requests to vote for me. Hahaha. It paid off naman, right? Thank you for taking the time to vote for me. Thank you for reposting my campaigns. :)

Lastly, and most importantly, I thank God for this blessing.

To some people, it may look like I'm just thanking God for the iPad I won. No, you have no idea what this win means to me. I can't clearly explain here, but, it has something to do with the path He wanted me to take. It's all clear to me now. I'll reveal next time. But, of course, thank You for the iPad!

Woohoo! I can't wait to pick up my prize! I'm so excited to get my hands on it! I was really hoping and praying I'd win the iPad because it'll really be useful to me for our food blog. With the iPad, I won't have to use paper and pen to take notes when we dine out. Woot! Just waiting for further details on how to claim it. As soon as I have my prize with me, I'll post photos here, of course!
