Tinypic No Longer Allows International Uploads

Yesterday, I was surprised to see that my blog's header and the rest of the images that I use on my sidebars were not showing up. Here's how my blog looked like yesterday:

My blog's header and the Sulit banner on the side, gone!

All the images on my blog's footer are also gone!

I was in shock. I thought TinyPic will be there forever for my image hosting needs. But, no. They didn't even send an email to their members informing us about the changes.

As of yesterday, September 23rd, Tinypic is no longer accepting uploads from international locations. All the images were turned off, so, my blog looked crazy yesterday. Good thing I checked. LOLz.

Here's the announcement from TinyPic:

They are now promoting PhotoBucket for all international uploads.

I had to move all my blog's images to Google Picasa. But, I'm also afraid I'd have to look for another hosting for my images really soon. I haven't completed all the image transfers yet, but, some Tinypic images are showing up again at the footer of my blog. Weird. Just to be sure, I'll have to move them to Picasa ASAP.

Also, I'm planning on switching this blog to Wordpress. So, that's another dilemma. I was checking out this list of top cheap web hosting and have found a couple of them that I liked. I'm actually looking for affordable hosting companies that offer a good amount of disk space and bandwidth for this blog so I won't have to worry about having to upload my images on another hosting or website. That's just too much work, right?

So far, Just Another Pixel is my ONLY Blogger-hosted blog. Not sure if I really want to switch to Wordpress because I might lose my PR4, but, I'll keep you posted if I'll be pushing through with that.

For now, I'm thinking about sticking with PhotoBucket. I just went and created a new account with them because my old account with them was too chaotic. LOL. I'm also using Flickr now for most of my images on my Wordpress blogs, which really takes time when I blog, but, at least, I won't have to worry about paying monthly bills for image hosting. Anyway, I know it'll take time before I exceed my storage limits because all the images I upload are resized and saved for web on Photoshop. But, if I decide to do so, I want to completely move my blog to a different hosting. :)

Are you paying for your images hosting?
Any recommendations for me? Let me know at the comments section!
