New Photos of Choco, our Puppy

Just wanted to share these old and new photos of our puppy, Choco. She's now bigger and more active. We're very thankful she got this big. I hope she'll be with us for a longgggg time. We love her! :)

Choco - Old and New 1Those are old and new photos of Choco with my partner Mai. Just look at how big she got... I meant Choco, okay? *LoL* Choco got a bit stubborn. We're guessing it's because we spoiled her when she was younger. But, we managed to teach her a little discipline.

Mai training Choco to sitMai even managed to train her how to sit and roll over, as you can see in the above photo. Mai gave her a treat after Choco successfully sat at her command. We make sure she doesn't forget these tricks so we frequently remind her. Choco's a really smart puppy, if you ask us. :)

Choco - Old and New 2 Here's another photo of Choco. She and Levi seem to be "flirting", if you know what I mean. *LoL* I can now imagine what their puppies would look like. They'll be adorable! But, hey, I don't want to jinx anything so let's just see what's going to happen.

By the way, we had 2 of our other dogs (Bambi and Cleo) adopted by my father's friend. We were in a tight budget and feeding 6 dogs really had an impact on our daily food consumption.

Mai and I bought Choco a couple of toys and treats that she absolutely love. She doesn't like dog food as her main meal so she joins our 2 other dogs during meal time. My father takes care of that.

So, we give her Eukanuba dog food like a treat, too, along with these:Pedigree Denta Stix No Grainers dog treats Mai gives her this No-Grainers treat after she bathes Choco weekly.

Burp dog treatsAs you can see, they're not that expensive. Whenever we go out, especially when grocery-shopping, we always make sure we buy her something. Here's a toy we bought her:Choco's toy ball This toy makes a sound whenever pressure is applied to it. Choco's reactions are too funny to even describe here whenever she bites into this toy and she hears the sound. *LoL*

She doesn't like to be chained, leashed or even wear a collar. We tried....Choco trying to get her collar off ...and failed. *LoL*

Because of the warm weather, over the summer, Choco had a couple of skin irritations on her body and her fur was really dry. She shed a lot and so we're glad we found this shampoo:

Destress Aloe vera Herbal Dog Shampoo Choco loves Destress herbal shampoo. And her fur is smoother now because of it. We've also tried the Lavender scent and it had the same effect on her fur. We now use this to bathe our other dog and they all seem to enjoy it as much as Choco does.

We'll be taking Choco next month to Dr. Cheng, our vet, for her 6-in-1 shot and grooming. Just look at her nails. *LoL* Mai and I tried to cut them, but, dang, we're just too scared of hurting her, we didn't even had the strength to make the nailcutter work its purpose. So, we said, let the expert handle it. *LoL*

Choco's longggg nails

We're really thankful Choco is healthy and active. We just need to take care of some skin irritations on her skin, brought about by the weather and her surroundings. Especially now that our house will be undergoing reconstruction, we want to avoid her experiencing more skin problems. Even my dad had to buy a treatment for eczema because he was also experiencing skin allergies, so just imagine how more prone dogs are to skin irritations.

Negneg - RIPThis post is also dedicated to Negneg, formerly known as Minzy. She passed away weeks ago. She and Levi got sick. Levi got well, but she didn't survive. She was too young. We miss you so much, especially tatay (father in Tagalog). They've been the closest and he even got a bit depressed after Negneg passed away. We all took good care of her, especially when she got really sick. Hayyy... thinking back really makes me sad.

I really believe all dogs go to heaven. So, Mocha and Negneg, we'll see you when we get there! *hugs*

I just hope there'll be no more comments here about us not taking good care of our dogs. They're our best friends so don't you even dare leave comments here about us not caring enough for them, especially after Mocha's passing.
