I'm not a morning person. Even back when I was still in high school, I hated having to wake up in the morning, feeling the heat of the sun on my skin and the brightness everywhere hurting my eyes. If only we were allowed to wear sunglasses back then in school, I would've done it. And I'm not kidding.
I've always been livelier and all cheery when the clock hits 6pm and the sun has set. I don't know what it is, but the moon seems to have this certain effect on me. I may be a vampire in my past life, I don't know. *LOL*
Seriously, even now, I'm grumpy in the morning. That's why I need at least one cup of coffee in the morning before I open my shop. Caffeine just makes me feel a li'l less cranky in the morning.
I've mentioned before that I am an insomniac. I've tried to fix this for years, and I thought a few days ago that I was successful. For almost 2 weeks, I was able to sleep BEFORE 3am. And that's an improvement! I usually sleep around 5-6am. There are even days I stay up 'til my mom finishes her breakfast and heads out for work. That's how bad it was. So, I really thought sleeping before 3am was good.
But, just a few days ago, I went back to my habit of sleeping at 5am. I've tried everything to tire myself into finally sleeping early, but nothing's working. I don't think even those from this site - http://www.supplementcritic.com/sleep-aids/ - can help me. The other night, I even had to drink so I can make up for lost hours of sleep. It did work. I fell asleep at around 11:30pm. And, then, this morning, I slept at 5am again. Waaaah!
I've got dark circles around my eyes that I try to edit off my photos (that's why the title of this blog post is "My Puffy, Dark Secrets" *LOL*). And they're getting worse now that I'm losing weight 'cause, y'know, our face is the first thing that sheds off the fat. So, my eye bags are more evident now.
The photo above was taken just last Friday. I didn't edit anything, except made the photo a li'l sharper. See how dark my eye bags are? I didn't bother putting on concealer 'cause it was just a date with my mother (hehehe). Waaaah.
Some of my friends say I shouldn't worry too much about those dark circles 'cause they actually suit me. I'm like, are you crazy?!?! Hahahaha.
I'm looking for remedies to help with my eye bags. As much as I'd love to try using cucumber or potato, I'm too restless to even let them stay on my eyes for 10 minutes, let alone 30 minutes! I'm thinking of eye creams or maybe a facial mask. What do you suggest?!
