I’ve never been a really sporty gal. Don't get me wrong, I used to play volleyball back in high school and in college, but that's about it. It's the only sport I truly enjoyed. However, 'cause of the pain I usually suffer after a game, eventually, I stopped.
Fast forward a decade, I'm trying yet another sport - badminton. Okay, I'm not playing competitively. It's now my favorite exercise (I wrote about it first here). It's fun, especially with my current badminton buddies.
That's me, my bro Kenneth, his friends Louie (in blue) and Osang (the only other girl in the photo). Jhay, my bro's partner, wearing a cap, was only there for show. LOL
Osang is the funniest girl I've ever met. She can crack the corniest jokes and you'll end up hysterically laughing your butt off with how she delivers them with much conviction! Hahahaha. Louie is one of Kenneth's best friends. He's also so fun to be around.
All 3 of them (my bro included) have played more times than I did so they're pretty good at badminton. Me? Well, let's say I play a decent game. Hahahah. But, I'm improving.
Here's Louie and Osang in action. Pardon the lighting, as my digicam can't handle the poor lighting at Smash's badminton court in Malabon.
As much as I'd like to post a photo of me playing, I don't want to. Not yet. Maybe next time when I'm wearing proper gear for playing. Hehehe. Not that you need Coogi shoes for playing. Besides, we play for exercise and for the fun of it. You should see the crazy moves Osang and Ken were teaching me! Hahahaha. I'll take a video of them next time... that is, if they'd let me. LOL ^_^
Here's our supply of water that Ken brought last time we played. It was for everyone, FYI.
We vowed to play at least once weekly, Sundays and/or Mondays. The last time we played, we went on for almost 4 hours! It was a li'l cold 'cause of the weather so we managed to play for that long.
It was a lot of fun! There were others waiting on us to take a break, so we finally decided to stop after 2 straight, crazily scored games.
While hanging out, the 3 started sharing the corniest jokes I've ever heard. Hahaha. My eyes got watery after too much laughter. LOL I miss playing with them! We didn't get to play this weekend 'cause of my allergies and their own excuses, but I'm hoping we could make up for it this coming Sunday or Monday.
Here are more photos of us before we started playing:
I hope my friends Jasmin, Tina, Mina, Sheryl and Badeth can join us soon. The more, the merrier. 4 on 4. Hahaha.
Have you played badminton? Wanna join us? ^_^
