If you’ve been following my blog, you might know already that we’ve got 3 dogs (Stacie, Levi and Choco) and 2 cats (Maui and Orange) in our home.

And, just a few days ago, we welcomed someone new to the family. Meet our schweenie MARCEL!

He is half Shih Tzu and half Dachshund so he’s a very small puppy. But, don’t let his size fool you! He’s a crazy, funny, wild, noisy, playful, sweet little one!

Marcel hasn’t made friends yet with our cats. But, he’s starting to get along well with Orange, who, by the way is Levi’s best friend now, surprisingly. We even see Orange sleeping closely beside him! So cute!

Going back to Marcel, I hope Maui starts to like him, too. She’s pregnant again, so it might just be the hormones that’s keeping her from letting Marcel befriend her. *LOL*

Marcel is the sweetest! He’s just like Levi. Whenever he sees anyone of us, he’d lick our toes up like there’s no tomorrow. And he’s so noisy, too! Here’s a video I took of him barking his paws off at Orange for some reason.

One thing we noticed with him is he loves being around people, unlike the rest of our dogs who were a bit more independent when they were puppies. Marcel sleeps right outside our bedrooms. And when anyone of us wakes up or goes out of our rooms, you’d usually see him standing up and running after us, still a li’l groggy from his sleep.

We’re still in the process of potty-training him so it’s still a chore cleaning up after him. But, he’s a very smart pup. We know he’ll get there eventually.

We’ll be bringing him back to the vet in a few weeks. Our vet is Dr. Lilibeth Cheng. They haven’t met yet and we’re pretty excited for his first checkup with her.

He was given to us by our friend Cholo (thank you!!).

It’s his second month birthday today. We’re thinking of having a party at home. *LOL* Just kidding. But, he sure would get a treat from us. And we hope and pray he’d be with us for a long time, just like Stacie who has been with us for over 9 years. :)
