Okay, I didn’t mean we’re gaining weight (well, we all did ever since Ken started culinary school. :D), but this post isn’t about that. I just want to introduce you to our new feline friends – Bochok and Bechay.
They’re Persian cats that were given to us as gifts by one of Ken’s classmates in culinary school (shoutout to Emil! Thanks! ^_^). They’re super furry and just look at those big eyes! @_@
Bochok, obviously, by the name, is a male adult cat. He’s the friendlier one. Bechay usually just sits in a corner, watching your every move suspiciously. LOL.
We’re still getting used to each other so they’re not that affectionate yet. But, Bochok already lets me scratch his neck. And when he’s had enough, he’ll just walk away. HMPRH! LOL He’s sweeter though. And I love, love his color – gray, brown with shades of white and black thick fur :)
Bochok also seems to be the more adventurous cat, almost always trying to come out of Ken’s room. We’re still training them to stay put since we’ve got 2 other cats, Orange and Maui, the former being the more outdoorsy type. We fear Orange might influence the new cats on the block to go with him in his misadventures.
Orange and Bechay – first cat fight or love at first sight?! LOL
They’re very smart. Well, since they were given to us as adults, they already know where to pee and poop. Ken set up this big litter box in his room (which smells a little nasty now) and they go there to, well, do their business. Here’s a photo of Bochok answering nature’s call in his old litter box.
Nasty!!
Hopefully, in about a week, we’d be comfortable enough to let them outside Ken’s room. The thing is, Marcel, one of our dogs, the schweenie, keeps on barking at them whenever he sees them. We’re afraid they might all get into a big, messy fight or Marcel will bite them til they get wounded. He’s too playful and naughty.
If the photo above of Bechay doesn’t scare you, there’s something wrong with you. LOL. They’re really adorable, and I want them to walk around the house as freely as Maui and Orange, but Ken and I are too paranoid that they’ll be stolen by our neighbors or they’ll go somewhere and we’ll never see them again. *LOL*
People are teasing us that we now have a zoo here. Currently, we have SEVEN DOGS…
Stacie passed away almost a month ago :(
Levi – our current alpha dog
Choco – Levi’s “girlfriend”. She’s now a mom to FOUR (4) PUPPIES – 2 males, 2 females.
We’ve been planning on setting up an actual garden at our backyard where all our dogs and cats can play. But, it’s too hot out there (maybe something like pentair heat pumps can help) so they all prefer to stay inside the house or near our main door. Marcel even stays in front of the electric fan before Ken had all his fur trimmed. LOL
… We now have NINE (9) CATS: There’s Bochok and Bechay. Then, there’s…
Maui, the ultimate mommy cat. She’s given birth like 5 times this year. I want to get her spayed, but I’m afraid she won’t survive the surgery ‘cause she’s too old.
Maui has given birth to FIVE kittens recently. I have no photo of them yet ‘cause they’re well-hidden. But, our helper said they’re all cute. I hope more people would want to adopt them. Otherwise, we really have to get Maui spayed.
Orange is actually Maui’s son. He sometimes surprises us coming home all wet with a couple of wounds after 2-3 days of disappearance. Indeed, he’s the wild cat.
So, yes, though our house can be a little chaotic with all these pets, it’s still fun to have them around. But, I think, we’ll stop at this number now. They’re just too many of them already! LOL
How about you? How many pets do you have at home?
