2011 Thanksgiving Day 6 : New and Old Friends

2011 has been one of the most memorable years for me because of the many people I have met and became friends with. Blogging was a big part of it as I met these awesome personalities that I might not have known if I didn’t attend these blogger events in the past months.

So, for my thanksgiving day 6, I would like to express my gratitude for my old and new friends who have made my 2011 as fun as it was.

Though I think I lost 2 or 3 friends because of hard decisions I had to make for myself, I don’t think I’ll ever stop caring for them. I’m just the type of person who choose to keep a few true friends than have a ton of fair weather pals. Still, I thank them for coming into my life.

I am grateful for my high school best friends Jasmin and Tina, who I know understand me inside and out. Thank you for being the same friends to me after over a decade of knowing each other. We may not see each other as often as we’d want, but I know I can count on you ladies, and please know you can count on me too.

Though it hurts me to lose one of my long-time friends because of a misunderstanding (I’m the kind of friend who’ll tell you the truth to your face if I know you badly need it), I’ll still be here for her no matter what. I do hope her “new” friends will care for her as much as I did and still do.

I’m thankful for Saji, a colleague who became one of my long-time friends who knows the wild and crazy me and still love and care for me regardless of where we are now in our own lives. I wish we can travel together soon. :)

One of my most cherished friends now, Joy, who has been there for me during those days I feel like the world’s against me. Thank you for listening to me and giving me sound advice when you know I need it. I’m looking forward to seeing you again. :)

I’m also grateful for knowing Ruth last year. She’s one of the craziest and funniest people I know. She never fails to make me laugh. I’m hoping we could travel together too. Hope to see you soon, gurl! :)

Thank you to all my online friends who comment or reply to my posts on Facebook, Twitter and even Google+. *LOL* I love how easy it is now to get to know people through the internet. Some of them, I know I can consider friends even when we only get to talk online.

I also would like to acknowledge my friends who I’ve known for a really long time but we only get to talk online because of the lives we’re leading now. I may not have as much parties like before to celebrate occasions with them, but I’m happy nonetheless to still feel they’re there for me. :)

And, lastly, I’m grateful for my brother Kenneth, who I consider one of the few people who know the true me. He’s not just a sibling to me, but also a confidant. Thanks, bro! :)
