In a few hours, we'll be undergoing a general checkup, me and my parents. I'm a bit apprehensive about it 'cause I'm really scared of hearing bad news about my health, especially after everything my friends and people I know have been through the past weeks. If you've read my posts before, you'd know it took me months before I found out I had PCOS and myoma 'cause I was scared to have myself checked even after almost half a year of not having my period.
So, why am I posting now? I guess I'm just trying to calm myself. We need to be up and about by 7am so we'd be at the hospital for our checkup at 9am. Argh.
I'm really trying my best to be healthy this year. That's one of my goals aside from losing the weight. I vowed to eat healthier and to lose my bad habits like sleeping really late and staying in front of the computer for hours. The last part, I can't help though since I'm the only one manning my shop.
One of the things I'm hoping to also get fixed this year is my eyesight. I badly want to undergo lasik surgery to correct my vision. It's pretty hard to wear contact lenses or my eyeglasses. Plus, when it's dark out, even when I'm wearing my contacts, I can't see clearly. And because of this, my plans to learn how to drive has been postponed. I'll post more about the reason why I wanted to do this soon. For now, correcting my eyesight is one of my top priorities 'cause I really want to drive. It's scary hearing or watching about those road accidents. Plus, I also want to learn more about cars so I won't have to depend on a roadside assistance plan. Again, I'll post more about this soon. I don't want my eyesight to ruin any of our future plans.
So, wish us luck. I'm praying me and my parents are healthy. As I've mentioned before, I want this checkup to be at least a yearly thing for my whole family. I know I'm scared, but it's always better to know now than later or when it's really too late, right?
I'll post an update here tomorrow. I'm really praying we're only getting good news.
