Exercise Routines at Home

In my quest to lose weight and reach my goal of 150 lbs. by the end of 2011, I've started doing some simple exercises at the comfort of our home. I thought about going to the gym, but I know myself too well to foresee me not continuing with it eventually. With the things I need to do offline and online, I don't have the energy and time to commute everyday or every other day to visit the gym. And that'll just give me an excuse to stop exercising at all.

And, so, 2 weeks ago, I vowed that I will wake up early everyday or at least every other day to make time for at least 30 minutes of exercise before I take a bath and open my shop. I started with just simple routines like sit-ups since I really want to focus on my tummy, and mostly cardio exercise since I don't have an elliptical yet.

There are a lot of exercise routines that we can do at home. You don't need any equipment for this, unless you're into bodybuilding or increasing your muscle mass. Some who do that go for creatine supplements when they can't go for the gym. But, I recommend you just go to the gym if you want to properly build your muscles or weight train.

Anyway, one of my best friends told me about her doing Taebo exercises before at home. She said it's a really fun workout that I'm surely going to enjoy. I already watched some of the videos of Billy Blanks on Youtube, including the one below, and I really want to try this really soon.

I prefer aerobics or dance workout routines because I easily get bored. Good thing someone posted a comment on one of my bucket list post recommending Turbo Jam series of exercise videos. Just watch the clip below. They all look like they're having fun doing those routines! So, I'm planning on starting this workout by next week. I just need a bigger space to work out. Hmmmm…

How about you? Do you exercise at home? What exercise routines or workout videos do you use personally and have been effective? Let me know at the comments section. :)
