If there's an acronym for Best Friends Forever (BFF), then, I'm coming up with my own - BBFF, Best Blogger Friends Forever. And, I'd like you to meet my BBFF…
Eihdra - She's prettier in person!
If you don't know her yet, she's Eihdra of One Proud Momma, one of her many blogs. I met her when she joined my blog contest Make a Wish. Take note, we didn't know each other back then. But, after the winners were announced, we became close, especially when the sponsor of her blog makeover disappeared and didn't finish her pledged theme for Eihdra.
I can't remember exactly how it all happened, but I ended up confiding in her about my last relationship. She usually will comment on my posts on Facebook and even became one of my top comment posters on my blogs. I also frequent her blog and comment away whenever she's got a new post. We ended up getting closer and closer everyday. It even came to a point when we were communicating with each other each and every day.
What I love about my friendship with Eihdra is that even when we both have strong personalities, we never clash or there's no friction at all between us - okay except for that one time when I postponed our meetup *LOL*. We'll usually just laugh it off and bully each other. Weird chemistry, I tell yah.
I consider Eihdra one of my best friends in real life because I can tell her ANYTHING I want or need to without the fear of her judging me or thinking differently about me. She accepted me for who I am, including all my crazy and wild sides. And I love that she's also very open with me. I really thought there'll be like an age gap between us (I won't reveal anything here, I promise *LOL*), but there was nothing like that. We really became close friends to the point that we miss each other when we don't talk or communicate for a day. ^_^
We've got a lot of things in common. We hate hypocrites. We're both honest / frank, which I really appreciate. She's also into online money-making, working her way into being one of the top virtual assistants in the Philippines. We also guide and help each other out. I'm her on-call technical support. She refers clients for graphics/blog designs to me. She's my "pimp" as a designer. *LOL* She even includes me in her future money-making plans. Lucky me, eh?
Last December, she even sent me gifts for Christmas. I also sent her pasalubongs from Baguio, including a jar of her favorite Good Shepherd Ube Jam. Here's a photo of the gifts she sent me:
Pardon my haggard look *LOL* She knows I love black and
I'm just glad she also knew the Victoria Secret scent I love.
Eihdra has been one of my genuine confidantes because I know she really listens and gives me advice accordingly. I'm so thankful that I met her and I truly believe we'll be friends forever. So, whoever says you can't meet true friends online or through blogging is just crazy!
We finally met about 2 weeks ago. We hung out at Greenhills before heading to Max's Pre-Valentine's Event. I tell yah, it was like we've known each other for years! We immediately hit it off and half a day of chatting and gossiping (hee hee hee) was not enough! She even let me use her brand new Canon SX30IS the whole time. Here are some photos of us on that day:
Us hanging out outside Arya Persian Grill restaurant in Greenhills.
We're both not morning persons so we were wearing our sunglasses. It was just too sunny out.
We were already very hungry, but we took time to have our photos taken together. Here's us with our orders for lunch at Arya Persian Restaurant in Greenhills. The Basmati rice would make you end up wishing you have safe diet pills available 'cause it really made us so full after we almost consumed everything on our plate, as shown below - Eihdra's plate.
Me and Eihdra trying to take a close-up shot on her new camera.
If only you were there, you'd laugh at us! *LOL* I got confused!
Us wearing our Max's Corner Bakery aprons. Thanks to Azrael for the photo!
Eihdra,
Gurl, not sure if you know this already, but I am so thankful I met you and became close friends with you. You were instrumental in my moving on phase months ago. You're also one of those who made sure I'm getting my reality check every now and then. ^_^
I miss you, gurl! I can't wait to see you and hang out again. You're officially someone I want to be friends with forever. You're part of my life now. Thank you for everything - the friendship, laughter, the craziness, the gossips, your karinyong brutal ways, the pieces of advice you've given me, all the support in whatever crazy stuff I go through, for genuinely listening and being a true friend.
I love you, sis! *mwuahugs*
